Archangel Sandalphon is the head of the guardian angels, and according to some one of the Angels of the Presence. Sandalphon assists Metatron to weave prayers into garlands for God. Sandalphon was originally the prophet Elijah and is considered Metatron's twin. Sandalphon is in charge of birds, and often portrayed with a number of birds flying around. Sandalphon usually has a sword near by to assist Michael.
